Balance; by Lungeing your Horse in the John Whitaker Training System, it helps your Horse find rhythm and balance. It will help your Horse to shift the weight from the forehand by engaging it’s hind quarters hence finding correct balance.
Guides; as with all training it is better to begin slowly for a short time and then build up. Therefore it is suggested you begin in walk and trot, once the trot is established and your Horse is balanced, progress to canter.
